Love of Learning
(9-12 year olds)
When: Wednesdays from 11:45am-2:15pm (2.5 hours). Classes begin September 3rd, 2025
Where: 851 N 700 E., Mapleton, UT
Cost: $250 per semester per student ($500 per year)
Parent & Student Orientation is Thursday, August 28th at 6pm.
$50 registration fee is due to secure your student's spot. This is applied to their 1st semester's tuition. $200 due the before first day of the semester. I can accept cash, check, or Venmo (@AngelaLiddle)
Classes are limited to 10-15 students for each class.
The cost covers the time and effort on the Lead Mentor's part and a variety of materials used throughout each semester as well as costs associated with end of semester parties and Evening of Sharing. Additional funds should be personally allocated for the purchasing of books, notebooks, binder, and basic supplies for class. Sibling discounts are available upon request. Receipts for reimbursement are available upon request as well.

Our Mission
(For those who want all of the extra info...)
This weekly class is geared to children ages 9-12 years old.
In the Love of Learning class, we strive to build friendships and self confidence through a positive group environment to learn and teach each other in a feast of subjects that will deepen and expand our desire to learn more about the world around us.
This year we are splitting the boys and the girls into separate groups so that we can cater to the unique gifts and talents of each gender that will empower them in their quest to embrace the values and principles of becoming their very best selves!
The boys will be led by youth male leaders during the majority of their class each week, and the girls will be led by two female adult leaders. The classes will be happening simultaneously at the same time and in the same location and we may occasionally combine together for joint games and activities.
Every month, we will be focused on one principle or value. We will reenforce with a monthly book that they will read on their own and discuss together, presentations for the kids to share their own understanding and share their voice, hero visits from locals, service projects, and a variety of fun activities meant to spark a love for learning and add to the breadth of their educational experience this year! We will have 1 evening of sharing at the end of the semester where the students can share with their families some of the valuable things that they have learned about becoming person of influence & integrity.
The Love of Learning phase is such a fun time to be a part of a class like this! We will be working on lots of hands-on activities including handicrafts, team building games, nature time, and even sword fights (with foam swords) for the boys and archery for the girls! Poetry, uplifting stories, and music will be woven into the experience in a way that will inspire their love for multiple subjects and build unity and friendships with others in our community around their same ages.
