Love of Learning

 

This class is geared to children ages 9-12 years old. We strive to build friendships and self confidence through a positive group environment to learn and teach each other in a feast of subjects that will deepen and expand our desire to learn more about the world around us. 

Our focus will be cultivating a love of reading, music, poetry, art, world cultures, history, nature study, and group projects to build team skills. We will strive for a beautiful blend of child-led and mentor-led activities each week.

Leadership Youth Scholars

 

This scholar class will meet weekly in a leadership education environment and is geared toward motivated youth who are 12-18 years old who want to be inspired and prepared to discover the leader within themselves create positive change in the world. We are strengthened and uplifted from the friendships we make with each other in this supportive process.The tools and skills we use in this class help us to achieve this mission by reading and discussing 6-8 quality works of literature per semester, writing essays per book to help expand and connect their thoughts and experiences with the principles found in the books, memorize oral recitations, give one inspiring speech on a topic of their choice, and read a biography of of an influential leader of their choice.  Through gathering this committed and positive community of youth, we hope to awaken the leader within each youth that can and will lead the way over the important mountains that our world faces today.
